Some commonly used retaining wall materials are treated-pine logs, railway-sleepers, sandstone block walls, sandstone cladding and dried packed sandstone walls. Pointed and capped sandstone feature walls. Both of these materials look great, are weather resistant and only require the occasional maintenance. One limitation, however, is that they can only be used to form straight edges.
